I LIVE IN SAILS: June 2012

WELCOME

'I Live In Sails' is a Melbourne based label, that produces a select line of clothing and accessories. The collection predominately yields a range of knitwear, and includes various projects, such as a line of reusable bags and wrap skirts. Each product is designed to employ the versatility and features of various fabrics and materials, looking at ways to incorporate a 'green ethos'. By limiting the use of plastic and metal, each product relies on the competency of its chosen material and is designed to provide strength and durability.

The team collects a range of both new and up-sourced materials. Many of the products feature a mix of these, assuring originality and individuality among each piece, including material remnants or rescues, re-sourced buttons, rescued yarns and designer prints.
All products are sewn, crocheted and knitted by hand, in a small studio in Melbourne, Australia.
